Foods to fight cancer

Jean Carper in her book Fri: "Food your miracle medicine" cites very interesting results, which shows the following results: Diet is one of the most important weapons in the fight against cancer. American Cancer Institute reports that approximately one third of cancer cases are related to diet. More radically put the matter Richard Doll, the British expert, who claims that as many as 60% of patients fell ill with cancer as a result of poor diet.

To change this situation and reduce the risk of cancer is enough to add to your daily diet a little bit of fruit and vegetables (both cooked and raw). Dr. Peter Greenwald, director of D ziału Prevention and Control of the American Institute for Cancer , says: "The more people eat fruits and vegetables, the less you have cancer, both the colon, as well as breast and lung. This risk is smaller in them as much as half compared with eating less fruit and vegetables " .

You do not need to eat large amounts of fruits and vegetables. Many researchers claim that two servings a day reduces the risk of lung cancer by 75% (data from the book by Jean Carper) - compared with people who eat fruits and vegetables less than three times a week. This also applies to smokers who observed a much lower incidence of lung cancer. So, dear smokers, is to add to your diet a little bit of vegetables and fruits:)

can eat both raw and cooked vegetables. Many scientists believe it is true that raw vegetables have more anti-cancer properties of cooked vegetables, but the results do not fully support this way of thinking. On the contrary, in the case of vegetables, which contain a lot of beta - carotene is recommended to light heat. Thanks to the beta - carotene is more bioavailable. Dr. John Erdman from University of Illinois at Urbana recommends a light heating of all the vegetables.

NEW PERSPECTIVES
"Some foods may help prevent the occurrence of cancer. Is it possible to work in people already suffering from cancer?" Many studies confirm that proper diet can help to stem the growth, metastasis and recurrence of cancer. This does not mean that diet can replace used by the medical treatment of cancer. Method can be supportive, helping patients to effectively fight and breaking this terrible disease. "
